I was listening to some old recordings by Dreams - I saw them a couple of times live in the early 1970s - with the late Barry Rogers on trombone. He also played an oval-shaped horn, which the band's publicity material identified as a Wagner tuba. Listening to one of the recordings, it sounds to me like it might have been a German baritone. Does anyone know for sure what he played? This is just idle curiosity on my part.

Dean,
Wagner tubas are designed to be played by french horn players. The valves are left handed and the lead pip is VERY skinny. Is the horn in the picture left or right handed. If it is right handed, it is a baryton, left handed it is a Wagner tuba.
