    Bassoon transcriptions

Apart from Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, do you have any suggestions for classical or baroque bassoon pieces that work well on euphonium? I'm looking for music to possibly use on grad school auditions (master's). I know Telemann and Vivaldi wrote quite a bit of music for bassoon, so I could start sorting through that, but if any of you have found specific pieces that work particularly well on euph, or that would fit a grad level audition, any suggestions you have would save me some unnecessary work.

Carl Maria von Weber's Andante and Hungarian Rondo. Dave has done an arrangement of this for euphonium and piano which I bought. Up to tempo, can be a fairly ambitious piece. Nicely done.

Thanks, John. Here is my video of that piece (I'm using the alternate ending variation I included as an option)

How about Franz Danzi Bassoon Concerto in F major. I've heard that done on euphonium very successfully.

The Weber bassoon concerto is also great on euph - quite a bit tougher than the Mozart but still very playable. Roland Froscher recorded it with orchestra on his CD.
