FS: MAW 4th Valve for Willson Euphonium

Hello forum, how's it going? What I have for sale here today is a MAW (by Martin Wilk) replacement 4th valve that fits the Willson 2900. (I have no idea if it fits the 2950 or 2960. I'm not sure if there's a difference in the configuration/bore size of the valve between models.)

I believe this valve was a prototype, and as such is the only one Martin has made so far, IIRC. It helps a lot with fattening up the sound in the low register, and overall just improves the response/timbre of the horn when using the 4th valve. Any tuba or trumpet player who has a set of MAW valves in their horn can attest to how good they are.

Asking price is $200. We can work out shipping, OR you can come get it from me if you're in the Indianapolis area (I'll also be at ITEC next month).

    Thanks!

How does that work? What's the physics of it? Thanks.

The MAW valve offers a smoother pathway of sound without the bump found in traditional valves (see attached photo). The MAW valve was invented by Martin Wilk.
