Great Brass Band performance! NM Brass

I stumbled on this video after reading some posts in the "Performance Mutes" thread. Didn't want to go off topic there so thought I'd start a new thread.

My translation skills are not great, but think this is a brass band from Norway or Netherlands. Please correct me if I'm wrong. All in 'white tie' formal dress too. It's obviously a contest piece and this band won in 2017. Some great euphonium, tenor horn and cornet solos. Very tight group with excellent intonation. Around 2:34 the overtones of the chord line up perfectly... almost sounds like a pipe organ.

Eikanger-Bjiorsvik is the top Scandinavian band year after year and is ranked #4 among in the world. Their solo euphonium is Lars Otto Torsvik. I have had the pleasure of performing with him at the International Brass Band Summer School over the last 4 years or so (since he was 19). He is just an amazing player and a really nice guy. Check him out on Youtube and Facebook...

Thanks Doug. I was hoping you'd know who they were and who the eupher was. Great playing all around.

What an extraordinary band!! Very, very impressive. I loved the cymbal player at the end, my wife being a percussionist, I can appreciate his effort. Thanks for posting, Rick. What a group!!

Hey Rick, you may enjoy this reality show / documentary that Norwegian TV did several years back about Eikanger. It's more than a little bit cheesy, but still enjoyable to watch. What struck me when I watched it is while they do have some superstar players in the solo seats, the majority of the players are pretty average -- however they are able to achieve world-class results by working really hard. It's inspirational.
