I had a chance to try a tiger plastic euphonium on last Sunday. I had high hope. But I was disappointed.
The horn felt leaky and won't center on any note. Depressing the 4th valve seems to put it in Bb from F, not the other way around. And the mouthpiece receiver seemed not completely rounded because my mouthpiece (a standard Bach 3G in very good shape) could not fit. I don't think this is normal, but is this normal?
The shop is quite reputable in my country and I don't think there is any in-transit damage.
