This is consistent with the behavior I was seeing as well. It would continually display "Welcome, ghmerrill" while demanding additional logins. I'm using vanilla Chrome with very few plug-ins or additions. On Win 10 Pro.

    Hi Dave,

When did you start using CloudFlare? The symptoms look to me like session persistence issues one would see with a firewall or load balancer.

Well over a year ago, so in theory that is not the problem. I hesitate to bypass it, because it is blocking a lot of bogus Chinese hits (because it sees an invalid browser type).

If I have a chance Monday or Tuesday, I'll bypass it and post a notice here. Then if folks having trouble could test we might be able to rule out that possibility.

Before you bypass it, you might want to check with them and see if they made any feature or configuration changes around the time the issue began.

Do you mean that not using RoboForm is what seems to have fixed the problem? That would be surprising, but I have never used RF. Does it have preferences that might be set to kill cookies or sesssions?

I don't even know what Roboform is. Every place I go, I go manually. Sometimes "modern conveniences" aren't so convenient.

The problem exists with or without RoboForm.
    I'm having trouble tonight.\
RoboForm does not mess with cookies.

ATTENTION: anyone having trouble please try again today (Tuesday) if possible. I have bypassed the CDN for today, but I would like to put it back in place tonight because most of the attacks on the site come during the overnight hours.

    Thanks.

  10. Dave, I just now checked and my log-in stays active as I peruse the forum, both a thread at a time and opening each sub-forum as a separate tab. You just might be on to what is causing the issue. Thanks for your continuing efforts.
