Howdy,

I'm checking out a older (1960s?) Besson Sovereign 3-valve compensating baritone this weekend (yes, British baritone). It's sitting in a consignment shop, and I may rescue it if there might be interest in such a horn. In a bad image, it looks fully intact, not worn excessively, so I'm hoping the valves are still good.

I used to own and play an 80s version of the horn in lacquer, and it served me well in brass band. I always was struck by the utility of a 3 valve comp, and because of the usual range, never thought there was a great need for a 4 valve baritone. I'll come back and post pics if it's viable.

Generally, would this kind of instrument be of interest out there in eupher world?

Thanks!
