Yet another new instrument!
My retirement didn’t last, and as I have returned to full time playing with fire in my belly and new resolve, I’ve bought another euphonium. This time a 1983 B&H “Round Stamp” Sovereign, in its original case and with its original lacquer. First time at rehearsal this evening, and it exceeded my hopes. Tuning was consistent (even allowing for the somewhat erstwhile top F and G (Treble). The lower register was as thick as I’d anticipated, especially lower Eb and D (TC).
