Why is it so hard to find BB1?

I’ve been looking for the past two months and cannot seem to find a DEG BB1 large shank in stock. Odd.

Here's a response from Dr. Bowman on Facebook:

"DEG sold all it’s accessories to ST Louis Music and they are working on the BB series mouthpieces to release them again but it is slow going."

This post was about 6 weeks ago. There are a few companies that do custom replication like Pickett Brass and Giddings, but I assume it'll cost extra.
