Euphonium Solo: The Volunteer (Walter Rogers, arr. Brasch)

I was invited to play a solo with the Burlington Concert Band (Vermont) for yesterday's concert and chose "The Volunteer" by Walter Rogers with Harold Brasch's concert band parts. We only had one rehearsal together about a week and a half before the concert, but Larry and the band did a pretty good job of hanging with the tempo shifts. It's an oldie, but fun for a summer concert in the park around the 4th of July.

As usual, there will always be notes we wish we had back. But as I last performed this particular piece 28 years ago it was fun reliving my childhood. I hope you enjoy it.

Enjoyed it very much! Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of how much fun it used to be playing those Fourth of July concerts in the park.
