Micro (brand) Cork Grease for lubing tuning slides. Yah or nah?

This was recommended as being able to get the job done, in lieu of not having the trombone slide cream I currently use ("The Original Superslick Professional Trombone Cream") and am running low on (both pictured below).

Seems like it'll work out... it's less messy since the "lipstick" or "push pop" format allows me to apply it directly, although I still need to use my finger to smooth out clumps, and better get into the tiny gaps for the 1st to 3rd valve tuning slides. Anything bad I should be aware of with this one?

I don't know of anything bad about the stick version, except that it has to be formulated thicker to work in the tube. I don't know what they use to get the extra stiffness, but I doubt it would be harmful to metal. I'm thinking paraffin maybe.

I've used a similar product sold as slide grease and branded as "King" several years ago. It was convenient and worked OK, but this particular product began to stink after a year or so.
