    Gene Pokorny to play test Wessex in Chicago

    Come to Northwestern University's Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, 50 Arts Circle Drive in Evanston, Chicago (Entrance is from a back door near Regenstein Hall) at 3pm this Saturday, April 21 when Gene Pokorny (Chicago Symphony), Matt Gaunt (Milwaukee Symphony), Andy Smith (Lyric Opera and Grant Park Symphony), Charlie Vernon (Chicago Symphony Bass trombone) and Mark Fisher (Assistant Principal Trombonist with the Lyric Opera) play test the new Wessex tubas, euphoniums, and trombones. The CSO York will be there for comparison, as will other instruments.

    Guests will then be invited to try the instruments for themselves.

    There is no admission fee and, of course, no purchase is necessary.

    Instruments to be play tested include;

    TC694 6/4 CC Chicago-Presence (18” bell)
    TC695 6/4 CC Chicago-York (20” bell)
    TB692 6/4 BBb Grand

    TC590 4/4 CC Wyvern
    PBF565 Bass Trombone
    PF588 F Contrabass trombone
    EP100 Dolce Euphonium

    And more...

        I can't attend.

        For those who do attend, would appreciate hearing their comments on the Dolce. Thanks!
