Also, because of the differences in the outer shape of the cup, a (Classic) Wick will sound different to an equivalently sized Schilke or Bach, and even the Wick SM and Heritage versions of that same mouthpiece. Be aware of that as well.
Indeed! Over the years I've come to the conclusion that the distribution of mass around the cup is what gives the classic Wick its more open quality.
