Thread: Where can I purchase/play-test a Sterling Virtuoso Model Euphonium?

  1. #11
Dave, I would also appreciate anything you can do. What gets me is that Mr. Riggit won't respond to DF Music via snail mail, telephone, text or email.

All of those couldn't have a problem.

Ask DF Music for your money back.

I also have had trouble with contacting Sterling directly. I’ve emailed at least a couple of times and also contacted them through their Facebook page. The last reply I received from Sterling was on Facebook Messenger in June 2016.

  5. Hi Micah and Boz,

I just got off the phone with Paul Riggett a few minutes ago. He just returned from China last night. I pointed him at this thread. I am quite hopeful communication will improve. Please let me know by Monday if you have heard nothing within a few days.

Thanks. Boz’s needs are WAY more important than mine right now!

  8. Micah,

Please post pictures of the valve section of your euphonium. At least 4 different valvesets have been used over the last 10 years. Paul needs to know which one and cannot tell by serial number alone.

Okay. Will do when I get back to the office. If I need to contact Mr. Riggett directly and out of this public forum I can.

Here are pics. Hopefully that is enough detail. It does need a polish; sorry about that. I do remember Mr. Riggett mentioning some time ago that the heavy portion of the bottom caps could be removed, but I would prefer to retain the option of using heavy caps and also to not apply heat to the instrument.
