Have fun in Phoenix! 151 of us attended the St Paul MN Tuba Christmas on the 3rd of December. We had a great time! During the rehearsal the conductor asks a series of questions, one of which is. Who has the newest instrument? Keith Hilson from the Trombone Shop at Schmitt Music spoke up and said that his euphonium was two months old. Turns out that he was playing a prototype that is being developed by Schmitt Music, but he wouldn't divulge who the manufacturer is. The horn looked and sounded beautiful! This should be exciting for us locals.

I was at the St. Paul Tuba Christmas too. I had the oldest horn, a 1906 York Eb tuba (model 640). A nice 3/4 size Eb that I had recently restored. It was a fun Tuba Christmas. I missed 2016. The people I usually sit around and only see at Tuba Christmas, even saved a seat for me. That's tradition.
