Only 12 horns shy of 200!

Don't forget, that your initial vote can list as many as you own.

Not surprising. Most of our members are primarily euphonium players and very few euphonium players would choose an Alexander as their primary horn, unless they are in an unusual playing situation.

We have some tubists here too, of course. I would not be surprised if a tuba player had an Alex for an occasional orchestral or German band gig. But a tubist might not venture into this poll in the Euph Brands category.

I have never run across a euphonium player who played an Alex, other than as a novelty. I'm sure the situation is different in Europe.

Dave, do you have a tally of how many members are in Europe?

Nope. The location fields for registration are optional. And while I was using the CDN the user IP address would not be very helpful. Even without the CDN, there is no way I know of any way to do a global search for any country's IP address(es).

Dutchman here, and as far as I can remember I have never seen an Alexander euphonium/baritone here. Besson, Adams and Willson have such strong footholds here that not a lot of other brands even get offered for sale afaik... Courtois and Yamaha being the obvious ones that are, of course, and in Yamaha's case it's predominantly seen as a student-level brand for euphs, which is... unfortunate. Alexander is mainly a French Horn manufacturer here as far as I know. Maybe it's different in Germany, Switzerland or Scandinavia.

Down to only 5 for the big 200!

There are probably more euphers in any one large metro...

Anyone heard of Westminster? Wondering if it's also a Chinese stencil horn

    Dennis,
Isn’t it time for another poll ???
