QHR Hand Strap and Lap Pad in the UK

Anyone know where I'd be able to get the QHR hand strap from in the UK (and, ideally, the Lap Pad)? Not having much luck with my internet searches and I don't want to pay over the odds to get one shipped from the US unless I really have to.

I assume someone must do them over here (or something very similar) because I meet Gary Curtin a few weeks ago and I'm sure he had what looked like one attached to his Euphonium (wish I'd asked him where he got it from now).

Bill Ricker, owner of the company that makes QHR products, is all about customer service. If you contact him directly at rwricker@QuickHornRinse.com, I expect you will receive a prompt reply to your question.

I agree! Bill Ricker is really "customer service" oriented. I happened to get a LeFreque strap that was the wrong size and he sent me a replacement at no charge.

Another thumbs up from me for Bill's service and products. Like the op I'm UK based and I'm afraid that unless Bill can sort or has recently sorted a UK dealer us Brits just have to put up with the eye watering import tax and postage. I think this makes me more careful not to lose mine!

For our British friends: perhaps one of you can approach a UK store to carry the Ricker products. For example, Glyn Williams has a shop, doesn't he? I would think the handstrap and lap pad would be of interesting to him.

Just an update - sent a few emails around to a couple of UK Brass accessory distrubutors but didn't get a single reply. Really disappointed with how disinterested UK music shops/websites are in brass customers, particularly the ones that specialise in brass. If you don't want the stock they have on the shelves they just aren't interested in your business.

Have now bitten the bullet and ordered direct from QHR in the US and am just awaiting for it to arrive.
