Reicha: Four Quartets - Euphonium-Tuba Quartet

This suite was built from the delightful Reicha horn trios, expanded for euphonium-tuba quartet. Because they originated with trios, I was able to build in ample rest (dispersed among the 4 players). Then it was possible to add a little more musical interest when the ensemble goes from 3 to 4 voices now and then. Three of the four movements are represented in the video (I'm especially fond of the short but sweet middle movement!).

Sheet music is here (download or printed):

I find the suite works pretty well for euphonium quartet! Here is the 3rd movement with me, me, me, and me playing.

That was lovely!! But I did notice Euphonium Player 4 looking with disdain at Euphonium Player 1 a couple times.
