    Cleaning and Gold Accents

    Hello all!

I have a Miraphone M5050 euphonium which has gold accents, i.e. the trigger, parts of the valves, etc. and I am wanting to get it chemical cleaned but am unsure whether that is a good idea considering the gold accents. Will it be okay or should I avoid getting it cleaned chemically?

My Sterling was finished the same way and I had it chem cleaned with no trouble. I believe the process is all internal (and should probably be called chemical flush).

I chem clean my 5050S once a year and have no trouble at all. My horn's about 5 years old now.
