Hello all! I am the owner of a Willson 2900S (medium shank, 11.5" bell, silver plated, serial W2057) who is looking to part ways with this beautiful instrument. I purchased this horn new in 2002 at ITEC, which I believe was in Greensboro, from The Tuba Exchange. I played it from 2002 through roughly 2009. It is in excellent condition as it has been in storage for the past several years with regular maintenance. It got me through HS, drum corp practice, and some college, all the time playing beautifully. My career has limited my free time and I just don't have the time to play.
The only minor blemish is somewhat visible in this image above the Willson logo. There is a very minor dent which can likely be easily removed.
Included with the horn is:
Willson Hard Case (includes nylon cover, pocket for music)
Soft Gig Bag (Reunion Blues, black nylon)
Dennis Wick SM3M (medium shank)
Vincent Bach 6.5AL (small shank)
Willson 51D (medium shank)
Schilke 51B (small shank)
Kelly 12C (small shank)
Vincent Bach 5GS (small shank)
Vincent Bach 4G (large shank)
Extra valve springs
Small > Medium shank adapter
Given these horns are going for roughly $8500 new, I am looking for $6500+shipping for everything. I am located in the Atlanta market and make regular trips through the I-75 corridor through Ohio if anyone is interested in meeting locally. I will be posting pictures shortly, I just wanted to get this post out there as I know Christmas is coming soon and this could make a great gift!
