Shopping for a British Horn - BUY IT NOW

If you have been thinking of buying a Sterling Virtuoso or some other British, this might be a great time!! After Britain left the EU today, the British Pound dropped to its lowest level since the mid-1980's compared to the dollar. You could get a real bargain now just because of that.

Good thinking Dave, just like a military guy, always on top of things, oh wait, you were in the military!!! I thought the same thing today. Good time to visit too probably. Might be able to get a hotel in London for under $500 a night.

  3. How would one go about getting a cheap British horn? Convert dollars to pounds and purchase from British sites?

I think the technique would be to do a mental conversion of pounds to dollars, then shop online from a British site that charges pounds. If you buy with a credit card, the card company should do the conversion as part of the transaction. I think they tack on a fee for this, but I'm not sure, and it would be very small in any case.

This is theoretical, but I think the logic is sound.

  5. Their listed price usually include a 5% VAT (value add tax), which should be taken off for exports.
Best to check with the retailer.

I'm in the process of buying an ex-demo Geneva Symphony for a bargain price. =)
