WASHINGTON: Seattle WA Area - Oberloh

I saw a good story about their work on a Facebook friend's post, and a couple photos from their own FB page were impressive (not so much with the website!).

Dan does the best brass work I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of 'restored' horns.

Having two that he did makes me feel very special indeed.

Wow! Nice stuff there, but I was amazed by the right-hand to left-hand conversion of a King euph!! At first I thought the photo was reversed on the web page.

I've heard nothing but great things about his work. Glad there are skilled artisans still practicing the craft!

one of the best, for sure. I've heard tales of very long waiting times for projects to get started, unfortunately.

None of the good guys are fast...none.

None of the good guys are cheap...none.

The classic sign above every craftsman's door:
"Good...Cheap...Quick: you can have any two of the three: good and cheap won't be quick; good and quick won't be cheap; cheap and quick won't be good."

My post about Merlin Grady was recategorized as a new topic-- no problem about that.

Merlin is extremely good, reasonable-- notice I didn't say cheap--but I can' vouch for quick.

Here's the link to that post.
