FS: Besson 181 4-Valve Compensating - Satin Silver - Medium Shank

The title says it all. This is the classic Besson "Imperial" or "New Standard" euphonium, and is very well regarded by many top players. Phil Franke (U.S. Marine Band) played a similar horn most of the time, for example. It look like it's in fine shape. The 4th valve button and bottom cap (gold-colored) are not the original, but neither is too noticeable placed where they are. Hard case included. Buy-it-now is $2,199 and it is easily worth that given its apparent condition. There is also a make offer button.

THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD FOR "BEST OFFER"

UPDATE: buy-it-now price changed to $1,999 (and shipping is only $45)

Pretty nice, I wish mine was in that good a shape when I first got it...but being a discard from the SA it was pretty beat.

That one will be a real treasure for the lucky winner.

The buyer should immediately dash down and have the metal valve guides replaced with Delyrn... it made a huge difference in the way my New Standard feels when I play it.
