Willson Original Case Hinges Are Weak

When I received my Willson 2950TA, it came with an OEM case. It must have been dropped a few times because there is relatively weak support along the three external hinges. It makes me leary of carrying it with the handle as the buckles flex too much and I fear it will come open while carrying. The front where the buckles are also flexes far too much, making latching the buckles cumbersome. Is there a way to reinforce it without making my case into a gaudy monster? The cosmetics of the case are still about 8+/10. My last resort will be to tear the interior out, mate 90 degree brackets, and reglue the interior. I'm guessing the wood strips at the back and front are not outright broken, but are cracked. Any help is appreciated as a new case is not an option presently.
