I noticed some Brian Bowman videos on YouTube last November, some of which were of him giving lessons on techniques. These lessons were posted by somebody named Corey Fleeman, about whom I know absolutely nothing. The videos are from lessons provided online for a fee by MusicProfessors.com. I looked up the web site and thought that $35 was not bad for a series of lessons from one of the most famous euphonium teachers out there. But I like to sleep on things, especially when they belong to outfits I do not know. Then December 1st, I looked at the site and found it no longer existed. I was directed to a site called Udemy.com, which is a company that conducts training courses online. They divided the MusicProfessor instruction into 3 parts, beginning, intermediate and solos. The price had increased to $45, $75 and $45 respectively. I looked again last weekend and noticed they now offer two blocks of instruction listed at $49 each but slashed to $10 each. The padlock in the lower right corner is closed.
I noticed someone entered a forum topic early last year on the old MusicProfessor site, but when he tried to pay, the lock would not secure, so he did not purchase the lessons.
Does anyone on this website know anything about this course? Is it legitimate? Is it any good? Does Brian Bowman even know he's in it? How much of it is taught by Brian Bowman? I have the Encore published Arban's book edited by Joseph Alessi and Brian Bowman and like it very much, but it isn't dynamic, is it? I am interested in these online lessons, especially at that price, but even that cheap I don't want to be ripped off. Thanks.
