Symphony No. 3 - Roy Harris

I have an opportunity to perform euphonium for Symphony No 3 by Roy Harris. I haven't seen the part yet. Has anyone performed this? Any particular difficulties I should be prepared for? Thanks for sharing any thoughts or comments!

Cool opportunity! I'm sorry that I don't have anything to offer; haven't ever played it. It's not one you see on programs very often, so maybe you'll come out of this with a nice video to post! Everything on YouTube now seems to be off LP's/CD's.

So, the New England Philharmonic had a rehearsal this evening; the euphonium part is just a few measures in the finale and not demanding. But, it is a pretty cool part none the less and it really is a thrill to play with strings! You can hear it at about 14:10 on this YouTube recording of the BBC Philharmonic. I also found a score; the part begins at measure 638 (higher than I can count!) on page 94.
