mordent in Allegro Spiritoso - Jean Baptiste Senaillé?

I am tying to teach this piece and for the life of me, I can't recall how the mordent it's supposed to be executed in the first phrase.

Upper mordent? Lower mordent because of the era of the piece? Make an artistic judgement and pick one?

    Guidance it's greatly appreciated!

Wow! Thank you! I searched for the piece, "Falcone" and "euphonium" and never found that. I can't believe I didn't think to look for "baritone!"

    Thanks again!
