I contacted him and asked how he played the concert 'G' on the staff in tune fingered 1-2. He replied back that it wasn't a M5050 but the Eastman horn and he got a very good one. The Eastman horn sounds and looks very good.

Here's a link to that video if interested:

Any idea what mouthpiece he is using?

I looked and looked and looked. All I can figure is that it must be a Giddings Titanium something, it's the same one he plays on Trombone, and that he used to play a Stork 5S (whatever that is).

Also, for all those guys that massively worry about their embouchure being super correct or whatever, watch this guy play. He's basically using a Trumpet embouchure, somehow. It might be more that his facial structure is allowing him to use an inverted embouchure? Obviously works pretty well for him, so heck if I'm going to say it's wrong.

Someone made me aware that this clip is of an EEP526 as well.

  4. I posted this a little while ago, but there seems to have been two different versions of the 526.

That horn reminds me of the Miraphone 1258. I've seen where it's been described as having: 11.5" bell and the .610 bore. The bottom bow ferrules are higher and the horn may be wide (~11")? But there's no way for me to know that!

The bottom bow ferrules are lower. You may be able to spot other differences between the two models. I personally own the latter of the two models.
