    Euphonium heard on NPR radio

Imagine my surprise when I got in my car, turned on the radio to the NPR station, and heard a euphonium. I didn't recognize the piece or the performer so sat in the car until the piece was finished. Thankfully the DJ announced it at the end. It was Roland Fröscher with orchestra (missed which orchestra). If I remember correctly, it was euphonium concerto by Dominique Roggen. Very nice surprise and he sounded great!

Roland is a wonderful player (and teacher) and will be one of the clinicians at the Tuba Euphonium Academy in Dudley MA this July. Here is a link to his bio: http://www.tubaeuphoniumacademy.com/artists.html
