    Jake,
Please convey my congratulations to Logan!
I may have made a few suggestions during our Skype session, but
it's evident that Logan took the advice and ran with it!!
Do you know who the judge was? I know most of the low brass people in the Columbus area
and was wondering if they might do what they do in Indiana and move judges out of
    their own regions.
    Best to you and Logan
    Jim

Wow! I wish I sounded that good at his age! Congrats to you both. He has a very nice sound and tone, just start working on the picky things and finding the quirks in his playing. Intonation was not bad at all, just a few trouble spots, and then ever so slightly behind on the faster rhythmic entrances. All very small details that will turn his great performance into a phenomenal one for auditions later! Again I can't emphasize how great he sounds, I don't here much of that maturity in a sound from that age group very often here in El Paso. Happy practicing and playing, your son sounds great, and the pianist did a fine job as well.

Thanks again, everyone. I'm very proud of him. I really didn't think he could pull that piece off as well as he did. Snorlax's help was invaluable!

Jim - we're in the Cleveland Area, not Columbus. I think we talked about or mutual connections to Gary Tirey and Tony Zilincik a bit, right?

My private teacher in HS was Kevan Stuber.

Trying to decipher the judge's name....
