    Allstate Insurance Commercial

In an Allstate Mayhem commercial, the person representing Mayhem sits on a couch next to an upright euphonium on the couch with him. The commercial's theme was a family of over-sharing social media people on vacation allowed a thief to know that they were gone, so he could break in and steal their belongings.

What exactly was that? I don't quite understand? Allstate got a bunch of random stuff, made a commercial, and then sold it online for dirt cheap? That silver euphonium sold for $50! They called it a super trumpet, and the guy just dropped it on the kitchen counter like nothing. I am so confused.

Nice-looking silver-finish comp euph. Hope it didn't get dented when he dropped it on the counter.

still worth it, you could easily have that repaired and then use it as a back up horn.

I don't think they really sold it. It's a spoof to raise awareness that you shouldn't announce on social media that you will be out of town, because someone might sell your stuff like that.

            --edit--

I stand corrected, I guess they really did sell one as part of the advertising campaign. Looks chinese to me. and it looks like the 4th valve stem is bent, and the bell had a serious wrinkle in it before he slammed it down even.

Maybe it was one of those euphs from India. They're not much good for anything else, I hear.

It seems they got their definition for it from the dialog in "Brassed Off".
