Thread: Switched to Blue Juice valve oil

Just as a quick testimonial, I've used Yamaha Light Synthetic for at least 10 years with no gunky buildup ever. Yamaha is a huge corporation with deep pockets and I suspect they spent the money to get the formulation right.

FWIW I’m still using Blue Juice and have been happy with valve action and the fact it helps keep the valves clean.

  3. Well everyone has allayed my concern - a new bottle of Blue Juice was ordered. But the Yamaha Synthetic piqued my curiosity enough that a bottle of it was included in the order also.

    Thanks,

The only thing I don’t like about BJ is the container itself. Since I used to use Yamaha Synthetic I kept two empty bottles and filled them with BJ. The Yamaha container fits better in my pocket being flat.
