Thread: Kai Winding

  1. Kai Winding

A few years ago I saw a baritone advertised on E-bay that supposedly was owned / played by Kai Winding. It looked like a King or Conn bell-front baritone in decent shape. The seller was asking about a 50% premium over a brand new horn. If truly Kai Winding's it might have been worth the price, but the provenance of music instruments is difficult to prove.

I just saw the Friends episode where Phoebe is bragging to her friends about buying a pair of clogs from eBay that once belonged to "the late Shania Twain." Her friends pointed out that Shania Twain is still alive, and Phoebe said, "Oh, then I really overpaid!"

    Same kind of thing.

Yeah, my take on "formerly owned by [whomever]" is, yeah, well now it has a chance to be owned by DaveBj, but not if he has to pay more than $XXX!
