    Lizst - Les Preludes

I had the chance to play this with orchestra. It was a nice experience with a really good brass session and helped me to understand the attraction of playing with a symphony orchestra. I played one season with the Fayetteville (North Carolina) Symphony and thoroughly enjoyed it. (Circa 1984) One of the best learning experiences that I ever had.

We played the band transcription of the either my junior or senior year in HS. Those low chromatics (in the low C - low F range) were just wiggle the fingers and pray. Fortunately, we had a good tuba section.

I've not played the band arrangement. Sounds like fun!

It was, very much. Having a comping horn would have helped a lot. I may have a recording somewhere.

Hey, post the recording if you find it. It would be great to listen to.

I dunno -- I think the .mp3 may be bigger than allowed. I'll check and see if I can find it.
