Thread: 100s of tubas and euphonium seen

    I keep meaning to go to the one in Fayetteville, but they often schedule it on Thanksgiving weekend which makes it a bit difficult if there are family things going on. Also, my wife is less than enthusiastic about that venue -- for reasons that you can likely imagine . But their Christmas events there look very nice and I think I may try to go to their Tuba Christmas and play a euphonium part. Just need to increase my range a tiny bit. I hear that actually playing the instrument regularly helps with this.

    I haven't been back there since the 80s. I also played one season as principal tuba with the Fayetteville Symphony. It was one of the most fun things I've ever done. I can understand your wife's point! I've heard the same rumors concerning increasing range….lol. Take care! David

    Although not called Tuba Christmas over here and we play different music, there is such a gathering in London each year now.
