    I'm pretty sure when I was trying them I noticed a difference in the depths, as did my private instructor.

      What an amazing compilation of data... how the hell am I supposed to pick a mouthpiece out of that!! LOL

      I am getting back in the game after 6 years, hope to have a horn by Tuba Christmas. I thought what I played on was a Schilke 53 but I cant be sure, and I have no idea whether it was a 53, D53, or M53... I think I remember the 51 feeling a little small as I have a larger buzzing surface than most.

      I would like to add that this forum is quite astounding in the amount of information available and the friendliness that seems to abound.
