I remember exchanging several posts/comments with Nigel some years ago under an old Listserv-type board. It's great to see him fronting a band and I'm sure it's a good band with lots of promise. I don't believe they've competed in NABBA in recent years, but I might be wrong.

My own efforts to form a brass band in my area were fruitless and I desperately miss playing in an official British-style brass band, complete with cornets instead of trumpets, tenor horns instead of French horns, and both baritones and euphs. Would love to connect with these guys and gals, but the commute is a bit much!

Rockville was at NABBA 2012. I wanted to go see them because they are local and I wanted to support the home team, but there was a mistake in the program and the performance times of the two 3rd section bands were transposed. Bummer.

FYI, they are now officially talking about finding a euphonium player, too.
