NAMM 2013 (Anaheim, CA)/// ADAMS Custom Brass Booth

I spent part of Friday and all day Saturday at NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). To my surprise, I found a very well stocked Adams booth with just about their entire line of euphoniums. I was very impressed. I liked the Custom Gold Brass .60 the best of them all. I also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Meil Adams for quite a bit. We spoke about Dave's horn and the different options. I found Meil to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I'm including some pics of the horns.

Great job getting the pics! Shiny horns are hard to photograph. It's fun to see what I assume is a brushed silver horn.

And I agree - Miel is a great guy!

Man, that would have been great to go to try out all those horns before I bought one.

I wonder if I would have found one that I would be happier with than my 642 Neo.
My horn: Yamaha 642II Neo. My mouthpieces: Yamaha 51D, Yamaha 53SH, Denis Wick SM4X Ultra, Doug Elliot 104 J8

One was the brushed silver, the other is the silver plate. Unfortunately, it had many fingerprints on it when I took the photos.

Anson, you made the right pick. The Neo is a great horn. I tried the one at the Yamaha booth, it was a superb sounding instrument.

Thanks! That definitely helps set my fears to rest.
