Will the Allied A380 Baritone Valve Springs work for a Besson 967 euph? I would rather pay $5 for 12 than $30-$40 for 4 Mead Springs.

Jeff,
I will sell you four slightly used Mead springs for $20.00
Thank you, BP. I have ordered the Allied springs, and if they don't work I will use them on some of the local middle school horn that I clean and minor fix.
How long did you you use the Mesd springs? Did you like them?
I used them for a few weeks. The Mead springs felt very light and very fast (I usually use heavy duty springs). Since my euphonium needs some valve work, using the Mead springs resulted in some sticky/sluggish valve action (my fingers liked them, but my valves did not).
I've been using the Mead springs in my Besson 2051 for a couple of years now. Love 'em. Very quiet and light. The valves feel almost like the valves on my old Bach Strad trumpet, they are so quick and light.

I have been using the Mead springs for just over a year on my Miraphone 1258a and they are great. Could not find anyone that could get Miraphone springs for me so I got these. Glad I did, very fast and quiet.
Guess what absent-minded professor got his Meads all out of order & now can't remember which was which?

Anyone try these in a Miraphone 5050 ?
I had the Meads in my 5050, liked them, took them out to clean the horn, reached for my cup of tea, knocked the Meads over, and couldn't remember which one went to which valve. How smart was that?

Jim,
I have to ask... are you sure it was a cup of tea? Just kidding.
I would think the gauge of the spring would be a bit thicker for number one. No?
