Thread: Room for Cream - unique CD w/euphonium

  1. Room for Cream - unique CD w/euphonium

Greetings, fellow euphoniumists. 'Scuse me for blowing my own horn, but I'd like to call your attention to a new recording of mine, "Thursday's Child" by Room for Cream. I play trombone on it and lots of euphonium, including a few solos. It's out of the ordinary, because the instrumentation is mainly acoustic guitar, vocal, and my horns, and we play poppy, alternative-rockish songs.

Here's a tune that features me on the euph: http://soundcloud.com/roomforcream/lost. More info and sounds at http://www.roomforcream.us/ and http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/roomforcream. Thanks for checking it out!

Thanks, I really enjoyed that; it's really great to hear what can be done with a euphonium!

Yes, thanks. That is a good example of what could be[come] a very standard use of euphonium in a commercial/jazz setting.

Also, members, don't forget to check the Euphonium Videos page. Just search on the page (usually under Edit->Find in the browser's menu bar) for "jazz" and you will find a half dozen other artists.
