Thread: Prestige valve top and bottom caps

  1. Prestige valve top and bottom caps

I was wondering if Prestige valve top caps and bottom caps will fit on a Globestamp sovereign. also, what about the finger bottons? will those fit too? lastly, what is the function of the clear plate on the prestige?

  2. Prestige valve top and bottom caps

Finger buttons will "probably" work. Not sure about the heavy valve caps. The thread cut might be just a bit different. If you have a friend with a Prestige, you might try.

  3. Prestige valve top and bottom caps

i see...unfortunately, nobody in my town has anything better than a Yamaha 321. do you know if the current sovereigns and the globestamps from the early 80s have any difference in size of valve caps? i ask because iif prestige parts fit on sovereigns, then its likely theyll fit on the older ones too.

The clear plastic plate prevents your stomach from interfering with the tuning slide.

Yeah, more necessary for some of us than for others

  6. Any verdict on the original question? I just bought a globe stamp myself and want to add a trigger and heavy bottom caps to 2nd and 4th valves.

I was wondering about the verdict of the original question, too. The heavy bottom cap for the 4th valve seems to be a valid add-on for a Sovereign 967. I have a late '90s vintage that I would like to try with a heavy bottom cap on the 4th valve.

Any ideas where I can find one?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Most parts for the newer German made instruments WILL NOT fit the older English made ones.
English ones made to imperial sizes, German ones made to metric sizes and it's enough of a difference.
