    Would anybody recomend this (along with a Rochut etude) for a college audition?

    Certainly. It's a good piece and is often heard at auditions.

    But read the school's audition requirements. If it sounds like they want pieces from different musical eras, then you might do better to look for a piece composed in the last 50 years.

    And there are several versions of it out there, some better than others. Different keys, etc.
    At least one of them (can't recall which) has no place to breathe. Look for one that contains rests. ;-)
