    C tuba mouthpiece

    Hi everyone!

Recently I have a new student. He started with the tuba and requires a mouthpiece. He is a man about 40 years old and currently is playing with a Giardinelli Helleberg that came with the tuba, but this mouthpiece is very old and may not be right for him.

Can you tell me what are the most used models with better outcome for a person with these characteristics? (bach, miraphone, dennis wick...)

    Thanks

Honestly, I was about to suggest a Helleberg.
What kind of horn, when I hear someone say C, I think Miraphone, but there are smaller C's as well.
The Giardinelli Helleberg should be an excellent mpc.

I'd stick with the Helleberg as long as he has the lips and air capacity to fill it.
