    Harvey Phillips

I just read that Harvey Phillips passed away last night or earlier today. This is really very sad news. What a giant Harvey was! May he rest in peace.

    TubeNet announcement

I haven't been able to find a news article to confirm this, but I know that he's been pretty sick for awhile.

This is not unexpected, but a great loss nevertheless. He did a lot for the low brass world.

The family would appreciate a little private time, so if you have a connection and wished to call, I would suggest waiting a bit.

I can confirm this, and also wish to echo Dave's suggestion to let the family grieve and take care of necessary details.

Anyone with questions can PM me here or on Tubenet.

For those who may not know me, I have known Harvey for 40 years, am on all the tapes & CDs and am on the board of his foundation, etc. Beyond that, I just loved & respected him, as we all do.

    Thanks,
    Jim Williams
