The Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Tuba and Euphonium. This is a non-tenure track, part-time adjunct faculty position beginning August 2010.

Position: Lecturer in Tuba and Euphonium Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a tuba and euphonium studio. Participate in prospective student auditions, end of the semester jury examinations, and recruitment activities as needed. Possible additional duties include coaching brass chamber music and teaching brass techniques class. Other areas of expertise may be taken into consideration.

Qualifications: Masters Degree in music (or equivalent professional experience), significant professional orchestral experience and successful university teaching experience required. Candidate must have a strong knowledge of tuba/euphonium literature, low brass teaching methods and the fundamentals of brass playing. Recruiting experience preferred.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
