I have been pondering recently what some folks thoughts are on keeping up with solo repertoire that you have worked up over previous years. To me, this would obviously seem be a good thing to do; otherwise, to a certain extent, some of that effort has gone to waste. I am not a regular soloist like some on this forum, but I always like to have something ready just in case. If you look at Steven Mead's repertoire list, you can see how extensive (and frightening) a list can be.

This raises some questions as far as approach. How often to you revisit them? How much effort to you put into your work when you do? Do you try to keep up a little on everything, or do you have a core set of solos that you focus on? I have revisited everything at least once since I graduated from college 3 years ago. I would just like to hear what some people's parameters are with this.
