    El Paso Symphony - Tuba

    Auditions will be held on Sunday August 24, 2008, 1pm to 9pm and Monday August 25, 2008, 5pm to 9pm. Audition Application and Requirements are available online at www.epso.org. For further information contact the El Paso Symphony office at (915) 532-3776. Applications are due by August 8, 2008.

    Berlioz Symphony Fantastique 4th movement: rehearsal # 56-6 after 57
    5th movement: 8 after 81 (Dies irae) - 82
    Berlioz Hungarian March, (from Damnation of Faust), figure 4 to 5
    Prokofiev Symphony No. 5 (1st mvt. 3 to 6)
    Mahler 1 (Tuba Solo, 3rd mvt.)

    I don't think it's too high. Rumor has it that it's around $70/service (each rehearsal, each concert), and the minimum concerts/year is around 7. One has to assume that folks in the group have other sources of income (teaching, gigging, etc.).
