    Battery powered stand light

I recently purchased a battery powered Mighty Bright Triple LED Stand Light (or book light) that's been advertised on some of these forum pages.

It works better than my last 'Might Bright' model which had an incandescent bulb and used 4 AA batteries to power. The 3 LEDs give off pretty good light -- but I wish it had 5 or 6 LEDs as it could be a bit brighter. It uses 3 AAA batteries to power this model. I used in church last Sunday when playing a solo and it worked pretty well.

I bought the Mighty Bright Xtra Duet one in late Jan. I tried it out for the German oompa band gig I had that weekend. It works pretty good. Its bright enough to be able to read your music but not to the point where its distracting to other people around you or your surroundings. The trombone player in the band borrowed it a few times when he and the alp horn player played their duets and was impressed by it.

In looking at the price of it, I feel like I got a raw deal on it from the local music store. I paid $30 for mine compare to $18.94 which its advertised on the tubaeuph.com store.

Although the Mighty Bright "Triple LED" mentioned above works pretty well, I just got the "Mighty Bright Orchestra Light". When it first came out, it was pretty pricey at $70. Amazon (Tuba/Euph.com) is selling it for half that or $35 plus shipping. The light has 9 LEDs to light your music; is battery powered (3 AA); or you can use the included AC adapter with 13' cord. It has a flexible goose neck with two brightness settings and comes with a zippered carrying case. One thing I really like about this light is that it has a black flange to keep the light from going out to the audience which may cause distraction.

For more info on this light see this link.

Nice light, Rick. I decided to add it to Amazon's Euphonium-Tuba Store. Here is the Category Link:

You know, before I shared a link to Amazon, I checked your store and didn't see it listed. I'll go ahead and edit that link above.
