Hello Guido, I have considered but not done that, as I am "just wondering" and - for now - have no real interest in their TC236. So, if no-one here has the answer, I'll just "keep wondering"...

Just wondering, Wessex also produces a "French tuba in C" but altered the 3d valve to modern tuning. Do they provide a fingering chart with their instrument?

I also got a Wessex Festivo for ergonomic reasons. It does not strain my right shoulder as much as a 'normal' euph does, but it is a little awkward to hold. I prefer to sit straight up, but after a...

I may be going a slightly different direction here, but my take on this is that there is so much more than just sound what makes an instrument 'magical'. Personally, I think the 'magic' is mainly in...

On my Festivo, I've found that the 2nd valve is quite flat. I always have to play high A with 1-3. High G is problematic, 1-2 already is quite flat, 3 is even flatter. Haven't found a good...

Well, that shows how much I know about tubas these days...I thought it looked a bit small for a Bb or even C tuba.

I did upload it by phone (android) so I am sure it has something to do with that. But enough about that, let's discuss tuba...I have no idea what make it is, but I do believe it is an Eb.

    Once upon a Time

Netflix show, Once upon a Time, season 4, episode 7, "Snow Queen". At the ball in Arendelle, a group of musicians play and the tuba player is shown (and heard) very prominently.

Good point about the return policy, I think I'll give it a try if I can find the budget.

I am a mediocre player (don't practice daily, or even weekly...) and currently play a Wessex Festivo with a Wick 3AL. Would you say a Wedge mouthpiece could be useful for me?

    Castell Coch- T. J. Powell

I really like this march. It is not really challenging for Euphonium/baritone but it does have some nice sixteenth runs. The low brass theme just sounds awesome.

I've changed my main Euph this year, but I cannot change my vote. I chose the Wessex Festivo over my old Hirsbrunner, mainly because of the front valve lay-out.

Just a few small remarks, if I may:

A Tenorhorn does not necessarily need to be oval. At least not in the early days. I own a straight Tenorhorn from early 20th Century maker Anton Hüller. It...

    Wessex choice for back-up Euphonium?

My current horn is a 35 years old Hirsbrunner 378. Although it is a very nice horn, it can be a little unresponsive at times (probably mostly due to my lousy embouchure and breathing technique)....
