Yep, that's what I'm doing it for. I don't need to adjust the slide that often otherwise. I'll try later, pulling it out more gradually... I don't think the hole is bunged up.

Got one myself this week. Great instrument. Though I'd have had a Besson Sovereign if these weren't available, I found the tone of the Yamaha much more interesting and lively.
Its valves are...
:) Maybe not really an option, price wise. But I found the Yamaha Neo an incredibly comfortable instrument to hold, fits like a glove -- after I tried those, I found both the Sterling and Bessons...
Have had a thorough go on one of these now -- my verdict; sounds perfectly good, fun to play. There's a lot to like about it.
Other good points include the 3 water keys -- something Neo and Sov...
Looking at their website it would appear that the bore is ~510, compared to 547 for a real Sovereign. Not sure how much difference that makes.
Ah, of course. It's at Rosehill... I think it would behove me to pop up the road and try this out -- there I should be able to try a Sov, Neo and Sterling alongside each other.
